Jens Garby, client manager of Information Technology for the Commercial function, is responsible for managing the Customer Service and eBusiness Expertise Centers as well as Commercial Codes & Reporting and Field Sales Systems support teams.

Based on product life cycles, Jens focuses on utilizing and implementing most effective technology operating disciplines to support and sustain existing work processes, IT assets as well as investments in systems and support. He also represents the Commercial function on the Global Information Management Team recommending strategic direction, investment level and policy in information technology for the company. He is based in Horgen, Switzerland.

Jens joined Dow Denmark in 1979 in Chemicals Sales where he held several Sales and Marketing manager roles within the Chemicals and Urethanes businesses in the Nordic/UK. In 1986 he was named the Commercial HR manager for Dow Europe and in 1988 transitioned to group marketing manager in durables where he led the Electronics Marketing team. In 1992 he accepted the role of sales director for Styrenics and Engineering Plastics for Northern Europe and in 2000 became the leader of the European Customer Interface Organization. Jens transitioned to the Commercial Expertise Center in 2004 as the global leader for sales management, remote working effectiveness and commercial projects.

He holds a Commercial Degree from University of Boras, Sweden.
