Mack Murrell

Mack Murrell, vice president for Information Systems, manages the global Information Systems (I/S) organization. Additionally, he provides global leadership for the Lab and Office Facilities Services. Murrell also leads development of services and solutions for JVs, leveraging Dow’s world-class work processes and ensuring the services meet the needs of joint ventures and accelerate their success.
Murrell is located in Midland, Mich., and reports to Dave Kepler, senior vice president, chief sustainability officer (CSO), chief information officer (CIO) and corporate director of Shared Services including global responsibilities for Customer Service, Information Systems, Purchasing, Six Sigma, Supply Chain, Work Process Improvement and Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S).
During his Dow career, Murrell has been a leader in the implementation of many large-scale projects and company-critical initiatives. His expertise has been applied across numerous functions, including Engineering, Sales and Marketing and I/S.
Highlights of Murrell’s contributions in the IT arena include his instrumental role in the standardization of midrange computing for Dow, his leadership in implementation of Dow’s first global computing workstation in 1995 and his continuing management of the Enterprise Systems Operations organization.
Murrell currently sits on the board of directors of the Arnold Center, a Midland agency that provides employment and training assistance for people with disabilities. Murrell earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston and an MBA from the University of Saint Thomas.
